Mylene Bernard

“Mylène Bernard comes from Guadeloupe, a tiny sunny and colorful island in the Caribbean Sea. She started her professional career at Air-France far from the world of Arts and Design. It is when she arrived in Montréal that she finally unleashed her creativity by graduating with Honor as an Interior Designer from LaSalle College. It is also in Montréal that Mylène discovered jewelry crochet and the woven wire technique. What started as a hobby in Montréal became a love affair then a business as she settled down in San Francisco. Mylène was at the Fashion Week in San Francisco during August of 2006 – an event which highlights emerging fashion and accessory designers. Her jewelry was worn with the designs of Cari Borja and was a hit on the catwalk!
Mylène Bernard's jewelry reflects the many cultures of her travels. Her elegant and whimsical jewelry combines a Caribbean feeling with a French refinement. The warmth and vibrancy are inspired by Guadeloupe and the South of France. The sophistication is straight from Paris. Mylène Bernard's designs combine semi-precious stones with glass and crystal beads with silver and copper-braided wire. Each piece is meticulously handmade.”
