Lillian Cram is a self-taught artist who presently enjoys drawing animals with Prismacolor colored pencils.

I’ve tried working in various media over the years – graphite, pen and ink, water color, acrylics – and enjoyed them all. About a year and a half ago, I visited a high school friend in Portland and my jaw dropped when she showed me her colored pencil drawings of her grandchildren. I didn’t even know she was an artist and here were absolutely perfectly executed drawings. I thought, “Well, this can’t stand.” I went out and bought the biggest Prismacolor set I could find, a book describing the layering process, and started chasing my cats around the house with a digital camera.

My biggest annoyance is that there aren’t more hours in a day..
