Candace Troy My paintings are inspired by my intimate connection to nature. People seldom stop to spend time in nature to truly witness the power and beauty it offers. In many ways, I aim to express my feelings on canvas using atmospheric changes as a mirror to life. Clarity; as in a cloudless sunny day. Turmoil; as in a powerful sea with storm clouds looming, as in life’s difficult challenges. Stillness, peace, and the “unknown” in life; as viewed on a foggy overcast day with limited or no visibility. Nothing stays the same in life. Some changes happen over time and some happen in mere seconds or minutes. My work is about capturing the moment or the human experience so that it can live on throughout eternity adding beauty to people’s lives.
